Commercial and Business Law: HLG regularly represents corporate Clients in matters ranging from contract litigation and unfair business practices to providing advice to employers and acting as a corporate attorney for the business or individual. Our clients include international corporations, national non-profit entities and regional and local businesses. On behalf of our clients, HLG conducts litigation, arbitration or mediations where appropriate. HLG also represents corporations that contract with governmental entities to provide services to the public or the government itself. HLG works with its Clients during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, negotiating contracts and litigation, if necessary.

HLG also works with corporate Clients on a consulting basis. We review internal procedures, policies and business practices to ensure our corporate clients are as up to date as possible on changing legal requirements, regulations and common practices in order to hopefully avoid legal issues and litigation before business is disrupted by prolonged and expensive lawsuits.

Employment Litigation: HLG maintains a robust practice representing the interests of employees and employers in federal and state litigation. HLG represents individual employees and groups of employees throughout the pre-suit process with the EEOC and through litigation and trial of their federally and state protected rights. Additionally, HLG represents employers directly and through their insurance (EPLI) coverage in litigation throughout Georgia in litigation involving claims of discriminatory or unlawful employment practices. Mr. Hoffecker has spoken throughout the country on employment litigation issues.

Products Liability: HLG represents individuals in Georgia and beyond who have been injured through the use of commercial products and pharmaceuticals. HLG has a history of successfully representing persons and families in the complicated litigation which results from the use of dangerous and unproven commercial products and prescription drugs.

Insurance Coverage: HLG provides first-party and third-party coverage advice to insurance companies, corporations and individuals. The provision or denial of insurance coverage is a complicated process and HLG assists its Clients in this practice area by performing the following: evaluating the legal and factual issues which arise in insurance coverage disputes; provide formal written legal opinions regarding the existence and scope of insurance coverage; and file or defend Declaratory Judgment Actions and other lawsuits to determine the rights and duties of the parties under the specific set of circumstances and policy at issue.

Liability and Negligence: HLG represents individuals and their loved ones in civil litigation stemming from premises liability - injuries which occur on the property owned or maintained by another person or a business. HLG has achieved stunning results for clients in complicated civil cases involving negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, and malicious prosecution and arrest. HLG also represents business owners, property owners and service providers, directly or through their insurance companies, in civil litigation involving claims of negligence and premises liability. HLG has an outstanding history of achieving results for both the firm’s plaintiff clientele as well as for our long standing defense clients.
